My husband came to me when we were first married. He loved working outside and planting things and growing things and, as I often teased him, “playing in the dirt”. We live in the beautiful city of Denver, in the gorgeous state of Colorado, and his idea was that he wanted to start a landscaping business. I couldn’t see the sense in it; everything here grows wild and lovely as it is, why would you want to force-plant stuff as a business? But he was persistent, so I caved.
He got everything together he needed to get going, and decided he needed certain items to move dirt. Not wanting to invest in a really large dump truck or back hoe, my husband went with several shovels and a dump trailer. To me, the expense seemed about the same, but on paper it looked quite a bit better. Boy, could that thing haul dirt, rocks, wood, pea gravel, and just about anything else his customers wanted strewn about their yards! He really had to look at Trailers for sale in Colorado, too, both in the area and online to find one with a decent price and that would do the job. The trailers Denver had in stock just didn’t seem right; we had to do a little traveling to find one. Bargain Trailers for sale in Colorado were out there, but we wanted something impressive too.
Once settled and he had a few customers under his belt, my husband could not have been more content. I still think landscaping is silly, but he is happy and successful in his business, and I am happy for him. That is all that really matters in the end I think. After two years he was able to hire help so now he does not do it all by himself and can take a break once in a while. I like that.
