Throughout the years, people have moved from owning the family station wagon to the more versatile SUVs of today’s market.  Unfortunately, these SUVs don’t always work in every situation.  For instance, in the European market the station wagon is more narrow and works better on most roads.  Larger American SUVs take up way too much road space over there.

Because of this, used Saab models are very much in style in Europe.  They are also not so bad here in America either.  They still are a great family car.  Further, a used Saab can be a great deal in today’s economy.  Truly, American car makers are not really making station wagons anymore, so anyone who really likes the station wagon might be looking at a used Saab.  The station wagon is a great vehicle with many uses that other vehicles won’t be able to perform.

Today, why would anyone purchase a used Saab over a new one?  Well for one thing, price.  The price of a used vehicle is always less, and the price of a used Saab is going to be much less than a new one.  Another thing is that if your used Saab falls in the right date range, your engine is probably better than the newer models out today. This means you are getting more quality for your money. Money today does not go as far as it used to.  This makes affording a new Saab quite hard.  Many people do not have those kinds of funds available, and if they do, they do not want to tie up all their funds in a vehicle.  Therefore, they end up financing.

You can take your pick when it comes to financing.  You can purchase the new car at less interest rates on your financing, but pay more for the car because it’s new, or you can buy a less expensive car and pay a little more interest, making your payment higher, but perhaps for a lesser amount of time. Regardless of what you decide when it comes to purchasing your Saab, remember that buying a used Saab is a great purchase because you will be left with a quality family vehicle that will stand up to a lot of use.
